You would think that with all the trouble that New York Congressman Charles Rangel is having right now–tax questions about a place he owns in the Caribbean, his car getting towed after hogging a parking spot in the Capitol garage for four years with expired tags, the Republicans coming after his committee chairmanship–he’d lay low. But he just proved yet again that the most dangerous place to be in politics is between Rangel and a microphone, as he steps in it big-time:
The question was simple. Why are the Democrats so afraid of Palin and her popularity.
The answer was astonishing.
“You got to be kind to the disabled,” Rangel said.
Listen, if someone with the Obama campaign is reading this, can you go down to the nearest Walgreen’s and pick your guy up a bottle of ibuprofen? A big bottle of ibuprofen? He’ll need it at this rate.
